Apostle NKURUNZIZA François

SANCTIFICATION

1 john 5:19 “We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.”

We are not of this world but we are to live in it. God does not ask of us to build walls and detach ourselves from the rest of the world because His plan for us is not to run away from the world but to impact it. Jesus did not save us to hide us until the day of His return because He gave us the power not to run away from the devil but to chase him just as He did, we should no run from the world but the world should run from before us. How can we then be able to live in this condemned world and not be influenced by it?

For this to happen, there has to be a clear understanding of what the world is and who we are, He who is in us is greater than he that is in the world. It is possible to live in this world and not be led by its philosophy.

What is required for you to overcome this world and rejoice God’s heart is this: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it” (Joshua 1:8)

The church today is in a weak position because the dividing line between us and the world is blurred. It is now time for us to come back to the basics; to seeking God’s favor and approval above anyone else’s, to repentance and sanctification which means being set apart in all for His glory.

Psalms 1:1-3 “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”
