PRACTICING GOD'S WORD

PRACTICING GOD'S WORD

James 1:16-25,"...But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was..."

Hearing the word of God with respect is not sufficient. The devil himself does not deny the Word of God. For instance, when he was going to tempt our Lord, Jesus Christ; he did not deny the Word but instead he misused it, so it was when he tempted Eve from the Garden of Eden. In fact satan knows that word of God is unfailing and unchanging, what he does is to plant doubts in a man's heart and mind; the devil knows that when the Word meets a sincere and prepared heart, it won't live that person the same as we learn it from the parable of a sower in the Holy scriptures (Mathew 13:23).

Jesus exhorts us to better understand and take heed on how we hear His word, for the level of understanding will determine one's faith in Him (His word).

Luke 8:18," Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him.”

Romans 10:17; "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

Putting into practice the word of God will undoubtedly produce miracles, because it intrinscincly holds the Power of miracles, and it was proved seven times before it was send to us from God.

Today many miracles are awaiting the readiness of your heart, just open the door of faith and apply the Word of God with basing on it in your daily life and you will be as the one who built his life on the rock and whatever winds or troubles of life would hit but he will never be shaken, unlike the one who builds his hope on humans, earthly riches or any wordly possession, who will be like that who builds on sand and the troubles of life will not leave him standing but his fall shall be great says the bible.

Mathew 7:24-27; “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”

John 5:5; "But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net."

Within Peter and his fellow's power and fishing expertise they had tried the whole night (the ideal time for fishing) but had found nothing. But here, Peter is casting his net, not because they were understanding the logic and the possibility of fishing at noon, but just because they were believing the Word of Jesus, the Master.

And indeed, it happened so, and that day, the harvest was never like before. Today, the Lord is calling to not act just upon your understanding but upon only and only His Word.
